I Need help with finding out what I need to DO!

OK, I am officially tired of joining someones “team” in collaborations to help with a project an then after a week or two no one responding to me after the work I’ve done. (even if it wasn’t much, that’s not the point.) I’ve read several post that it takes soo long to make an mmorpg, and you need lots of people, blah blah. I understand there is alot involved in making a online video game. But I am not sure if anyone has heard of a mmo called "“Crowns Of Power”. The game had not they best, but decent graphics, and was an amazing game lasting from 2008 to 2012. I have no clue why they shut it down because it had so much potential. I played that game for 5 seconds and was sucked in completely. Now I have done research on it and found that the game was created by only 5 people and took only a year to create. This game has inspired to me to become a video game developer/programmer and now my soul is set on creating a game similar. I understand there is probably a large amount of schooling I need to go through so I need help with creatng a list of studies which I would need in order to achieve this.

Can anyone give me some sort of list? I’m not sure how to ask this question. But for an example, a type of networking class, c# programming class, Like I said I’m not really sure what I need to know. I have the money to pay for college, and there is also a community college right down the street from my house with a very large selection of smaller classes as well. Can anyone help me out here?

Note: If this is posted in the wrong section, please post a reply with the correct section.

Oh damn, just saw it in front page because the new comment and was bored :/

ugh that is annoying… it may take a while to find a decent team.

here’s a basic List, for everything:

  • Mathematics, (statistics, calculus etc.)
  • Physics, (alot)
  • Relevant IT classes,(probably teach you with Java or C++, not that much different ot C#)
  • 3d Art( making textures, drawing, effects)
  • 3d Design,(modeling, texturing , maximization, animation)
  • Graphic Design, (whats looks good, whats terrible),
  • Sound Engineering (audio, composition, music, etc)

this was from the top of my head. hope it helps

Thank you for your response, but I am asking about actual college schooling. I have watched several tutorials and they are just bits and pieces not always explaining what is really happening. In order to achieve my goal I would like to fully understand every aspect of every concept. I feel only actualy college courses would give me this knowledge. So I am in search of what schooling I would need to undergo to achieve this.
