i need to figure out how to manualy set up unity

hey im kinda new to this so dont laugh. ok i put unity on my computer at home with a flash drive and i cant figure out how to finish it without using the internet. where do i go to get the comformation stuff to activate it?

you need to activate it online.

First let me start with some tips/suggestions about how folks can better use the information these forums already offer. Notably, look and post in appropriate forum sections. This is clearly (to me) not a “Gossip” topic but something more like a “Support” topic and as such you should have looked for information in the “Support” section and then if needed, posted there.

As part of searching for information we have sticky FAQ threads in most forum areas, and we definitely do in “Support” (here). While those won’t answer every question they do contain some information, and this topic in specific is definitely covered by the “Support” FAQ with the two following entries:

So in response to the actual question at hand, you’ll need an internet connection at some point, either to do the internet activation right away, or to upload and process your license request file. If the machine in question will simply never have internet access, just generate the license request on the machine of interest, take that file (ILR) to another machine that does have internet access and follow the steps above to generate your actual license file (ILF). Then just get that ILF back on to the actual machine of interest (Flash drive?) and complete the steps above.

I’m going to move this thread into Support, feel free to post up any other questions you have as we’re here to help!

it keeps on saying internal server error. i’ve tried manualy registering it on a couple diffrent computers and it keeps telling me the same thing.
Should i try downloading it again and manualy doing it?

We were having some store issues earlier today and that sort of thing does impact our licensing server at times, but the issues from today should all be resolved (the store is up and active again). Give it another try in a bit and if it keeps failing then please put your license request file (ILR) in a zip file and send that to me along with your serial number (send it to tom@unity3d.com) and I can give it a try for you.

None of this requires re-downloading Unity.
