Hi guys …, Game for iOSThis is what i’m dreaming to start with …
i almost finished my first game design, but i still confused, which game engine start with Unity or UDK ?
i know well there are a lot of topics speaks in this subject, but there is an important reason that force me to leave Unity and go to UDK, the reason is UNITY BUGS
because i’ve a license of Unity 3.x for iOS and Android i MUST use version 3.5.7 Maximum of Unity although i know well 3.5.7 version has a lot of bugs with limited features and I can’t use the latest version of Unity BUT in the same time i can use UDK for iOS with latest version with full features
i’m thinking use UDK and leave Unity 3.5.7, is this correct decision ? I need your advice before take a decision
I would totally recommend you to stay with unity. Sice I guess last week licenses for mobile dev are free. Unity is also more user friendly if you are doing your first game I would say. Also there is awesome community and really useful 3rd party plugins
up to now, i’m still develop my game, i’m worry that these bugs appears when test my game on actual device, in unity editor i didn’t see any problems, but these bugs mean that there are problems appear in game build
Unless you specifically run into an issue I wouldn’t worry about it. There are going to be bugs in every release no matter what engine you choose. Just because you don’t know about them doesn’t mean they aren’t there.
The iOS/Android basic license is now free for all users so you don’t have to stay on 3.5.7… you can update to version 4 now for free and all of those bugs that you linked to have been fixed.
