I really need help i am trying to create a simple door opener

but i do not know how to make the trigger when my character steps on it destroy the door to the next are if anyone could help it would be so helpful i have bin at this for 2 days trying to figure this out i know very little about programming and cannot fine much help any i looked high an low and nothing i was left feeling frustrated and came looking for help on her so thank you.

Just use OnTriggerEnter function and the door animation.

Just remember enable the trigger option in the door collider

Use the OnTriggerEnter function. Basically it’s a function that is called when the collider component is triggered. To get this to work, though, you need your trigger to have a collider component, and, have it’s ‘Is Trigger’ property set to true. Then, you can reference your door using a Gameobject variable, and, inside your script with the OnTriggerEnter, you can delete that instance of the door.
