This shader on unifycommunity.com is exactly what i need. I need the same functions as this. It is the “Blend 2 Textures by Lightmap Alpha” unity iphone shader (http://www.unifycommunity.com/wiki/index.php?title=Blend_2_Textures_by_Lightmap_Alpha). The actual problem is that i need this shader for unity 2.6 and the one listed here is not compatible. Does anyone know where i can find a shader that handles these functions or who know how to adapt this one. I would say if anyone could adapt this existing one that it would be a welcome addition to the shaders on the unifycommunity website. If there is a genius out there who would like a challenge it would be even better if this shader could also use normal maps
It should work fine in Unity 1.x and onwards; what problems are you having?
it basically comes up with an error suggesting that its not compatible
I had tested it in 2.6 without a problem, but haven’t had pre-Unity 3 around for months, so can’t check. I can’t help you with normal maps, but there’s no reason this shouldn’t be working, so if you give me more info about the error, perhaps I can help. Why are you using 2.6?
its coming up with a syntax error, not quite sure what that means. Im using the 2.6 indie version because its free and at the moment it seems there isnt a free version out yet for unity 3 other than the 30 day trial

I’m going to have to imagine that you’ll have the same problem in 3.0, though. The shader doesn’t have errors (maybe you tried copying and pasting instead of downloading the file, and didn’t get everything?). I even wrote in for Unity iPhone, which was based on pre-2.5. That said, yes, of course, switch to 3.0!
