As the title says I want a C# book. I want to buy a good C# book that will teach me the basic, and will help me understand C#. I know that there’s plenty of books online that you can download for free. But I rather have a real book as I feel more motivated to read, instead of staring at the monitor. So please post some good names with links to them or even just the names of the books, and I’ll search them up. But please nothing over $100 because I’m still a student.
Type “it ebooks” into googld, normally the first link, u can download the digital copy and also there is a link to the physical copy, books on c# and unity together also.
This bears being listed twice.
Be wary of sites like those as they are often pirated copies. Besides the fact that it’s illegal it’s entirely possible for a PDF to contain malware and infect your computer with it. If you need learning resources but cannot afford them there are plenty of resources that are actually free.

Make that three times… it’s free!!!
Apart from that try these books from Amazon. I haven’t read ANY of them… but they’ve been recommended on another post on here recently:
Here’s a link for jhocking’s book:
Here’s a link for Alex Ockita’s book:
Haven’t had an issue yet, so far found it reliable (around 6 years). If it is for personal use and not re-sale I see nothing wrong with it, plus it gives you an option to go to the paid version and actually pay if you want a physical copy.
If you have the proper protection in place, you wont have any problems detecting the issue before you even look at the pdf.
Naturally the book is intended for personal use. They’re sold to individuals after all. That doesn’t change the fact that it is illegal. No attempts to justify yourself will change the fact that you’re stealing a copy of the book. You may as well have gone into a bookstore, picked up a copy of the book, and tried to walk out without paying.
This one looks all right:
It is called
Learning C# Programming with Unity 3D.
The reviews seem decent, and you should be able to look at the Table of Contents before buying.
illegal or not, its information that can be used for educational purposes I am simply passing it along to someone it may help. Up to them if they wish to use it or not. Plus if your strapped for cash sometimes you just have to cut corners.
Or simply choose learning resources that are within your budget. There are numerous highly rated resources available that are legally free. In fact the best resources for learning are often the ones that are free. One of the better examples being the C# Yellow Book. It’s a college text book written by a professor and is one of the better introductory books out there.
I agree, the site I mentioned was something I discovered a long time ago. And the free content of yesteryear as come a very long way in terms of delivery and quality plus community has also developed well over the years.
The C# Yellow Book I also discovered after I had received my qualification, its funny its a standard in learning material for learning to program yet i was never made aware of it by my lecturers.
It honestly wouldn’t surprise me if they were told by the school to choose among a selection of paid resources. At least that’s how it seems to go down in the United States. I don’t know about other countries.
Well Australia seems to follow USA in a some ways, so this may be the case. All my materials were paid materials, but some didn’t even come close to what info you get out of the Yellow Book.

Unfortunately I did not find or there is no excellent book specific Unity C# that teach you C# for Unity from scratch to master as for example de http://www.deitel.com/ series do. [yet]
Here are best sellers for beginners using C# in general
http://www.amazon.com/Best-Sellers-Books-C-Programming/zgbs/books/697342
This books are not Unity specific.
But there are lot of nice C# books that will teach you the basic in Unity using Unity C# script.
For example:
Learning-C-Programming-Unity-3D Is for beginners, Is not a simple book I found it a bit complicate.
The Yellow book is nice grate tool code reference but is not ideal for just starting. Is perfect as second book for looking reference and for remember how the C# code structure is done.
