I want to export the camera movements of Cinemachine Cameras to Maya.

Hello.

I would like to export the camera movements of Cinemachine Cameras to Maya based on the following question

Before that, I did an animation clip bake of a camera animation created with cinemachine virtual camera in unity environment using Recorder Track in timeline, but the Transform value of the original camera is not the same.
The Transform value of the original camera is not the same.

Am I missing some settings on my end? And can’t I create the same values by baking the camera values?

If you look at the youtube video, Main Camera_2 (cinemachine virtual camera movement camera) RecCamera (camera that baked the movement of Main Camera_2)
You can see that the Transform values are different.

I hope you can answer my question.

Hey,

Could you please do the following tests:
1)Export the Cinemachine camera as an Animation clip (animation recorder) and check that the exported animation is the same as the Cinemachine Source
2)If 1 works, export the Cinemachine Cam as FBX and reimport in unity and tell me the result.

vladala thanks for the reply.

I did test 1 but it did not work.

I uploaded the project I did in the test to the url below.
https://firestorage.jp/download/c6b4030e4b3bc04c79b6bc2a66f9067f348eb2aa

It would be great if you could check it out if you can.

vladala Were you able to download it after that?
Did you get confirmation?

We’re trying to track down the cause of the problem here, but we’re not getting much in the way of results.

No I have not.
I have tried from scratch and I am able to record a cinemachine powered cam into a pure animation track and it is exactly the same.
The best way to proceed is to create a stupid simple project that reproduces the problem and file a bug report. The tool will pack your project and send it over and a QA can help you.

Hey @shirai0708 , could you try disabling all damping options in the CinemachineVirtualCamera component and record one more time?

There is a little bit of Cinemachine damping by default. It doesn’t have any effect when simply scrubbing the Timeline but starts getting evaluated once you enter Playmode and it will slightly affect the animation (and so the recorded animation values will include damping and be slightly different than the original keyframes).

Let us know if that helps or not!
