I want to modify the background and dialogue between characters in a game

Hello, I hope you are all doing well.

I have this game build with unity, and I would like to editing some backgrounds and some dialogues between characters (for personal use only) and I haven’t found the right way to do this since I’m a beginner, I hope to find guidance on how to start.

You’re trying to add dialogue with background images to your game?

If this is a modding question then you’re in the wrong forum. Modding questions are expressly forbidden by the terms of service of this forum site. There are millions of modding websites and this isn’t one of them.

If this is your own game, you’re in the correct forum. Start with tutorials for whatever you plan on doing.

Two steps to tutorials and / or example code:

  1. do them perfectly, to the letter (zero typos, including punctuation and capitalization)
  2. stop and understand each step to understand what is going on.

If you go past anything that you don’t understand, then you’re just mimicking what you saw without actually learning, essentially wasting your own time. It’s only two steps. Don’t skip either step.

NOTE: if you are unable to figure it out with a proper tutorial, I guarantee nothing typed in this little text box will be useful either!
