I installed the trial version of unity on my iBook G4 running Leopard, but it keeps freezing right after i start it. Are there any known issues with Unity on an iBook G4 running Leopard?
Thanks,
Peter

Only that the iBook is very lo-spec…How much videoram does your particular model have?
I think one of the project leaders here built gooball on an ibook- well wrote the code there anyway. That was a few years ago so the engine might be a bit thirstier now.

thank you for your response. the total vram for my ibook g4 is 32mb. dosn’t sound like much. if that is the problem, do you know if it’s possible to add vram to an ibook?
Peter
That machine is a bit weak for development and as far as VRAM goes you’re at the minimum spec. I believe that the video card included, even with that VRAM, is going to leave you wanting for sure. And AFAIK, no, you cannot add VRAM.
MacBooks and higher are really the way to go if you’re using a laptop.
