Ikari Strategy Camera

  • Features:

  • Rotation, with incremental rotation, speed, and more adjusts

  • Zoom, with smooth option, speed and more adjusts

  • Complete Keyboard support , you can even select in the inspector what keys do you want to use.

I almost finish the script, i need to do a depth test for see if it have any bug, i’m not very good at demo scenes but i tried to do one.

The shader of the water, the textures and the terrain are in the pack, and you can use it freely.

Tomorrow i will continue with the test and i will try to submit it, but i want to add an addition before submit it.
For the sirs and ladies, let me know if you have any question/suggestions.

I’m doing the graphics/demos for submit it to the asset store

Since it passed 24 hours since my last post and i need to give some info i’m writing this message.

Did today:

  • Implemented rotation around a target if the camera is following one.
  • Implemented options for when the camera is following a target.
  • Fixed Focus function.
  • Depth testing completed , no bugs found so far.

My plans for today are:

  • Prepare a good scene demo for the webplayer.
  • Try to do a video in English showing the features, and the system itself.
  • Prepare some kind of Manual in PDF
  • Add in the editor buttons for email me/add me on skype if you have any doubt.
  • Try to submit it to the store ^w^!

I deleted the old post because the update checker lagged a lot the editor so i needed to remove it.

Controls:
Mouse Movement - Move the mouse to the edge of the screen.
Mouse Rotation - Press the middle button of the mouse and move the mouse to the left or right.
Mouse Zoom - Scroll Wheel of the mouse.

Keys Movement - Arrow Keys :arrow_up_down:
Keys Rotation - Q(Left) , E(Right)
Keys Zoom - Keypad + (Down), Keypad - (Up)

If you press the yellow capsule and then press somewhere in the terrain it will more where you click

Hi i need some feedback here, i have implemented input touch for mobile, but i don’t know what can i add for do it better the options i’m thinking are those, hold to move, drag and tap for stop, and inverted drag what do you guys think?

Since there are no sales so far it’s hard to improve this asset :slight_smile:

I’m not searching for feedback about the price, but it makes me curious now.

its only a camera controller… and there are plenty of free camera controllers around, some included with unity standard assets.

Well it’s not a normal camera controller, it have a lot of customizable options for example it have limits, customizable keys, smooth options, rotation, rotation around a unit, unit follow script, i’m implementing mobile input, it’s also frame indepently, and i’m thinking to add more features(I have a todo list), i also offer updates and my fast customer support for it.

If you think that’s still not a lot, what do you think i can add for worth it?
Maybe i can put it to 5 or 10 like you said.

Oh and by the way this asset was submitted to the 24 hours deal formulary at the price of 5$

all of those features are available by taking the free camera controllers and mashing them together.

I dont think theres much you could add to a camera controller to make it worth a lot more.

If you are looking to make money of rts scripts, perhaps include some other features like multi unit selection, minimap, fog of war, etc. Stuff thats a little more difficult than a camera controller.
