I have nearly finished on my latest project. It’s just a simple jigsaw game, nothing special, but my kids love puzzles so thought I would make one.
I am pretty much done, but I am having trouble finding images to use. I have been looking to buy bundles or packs of images/illustrations/photos etc. I have found some stock sites, but can’t afford a monthly charge for a small handful of pictures.
I was wondering if any one had suggestions for free images that are completely free to use commercially, or a site I can buy pictures for a reasonable price. I haven’t got a huge budget, but am happy to pay for packs.
I only know about Pexels who collect a bunch of CC0 licensed images. Unfortunately, most of the sites I used to rely on for this sort of thing have all transitioned to a monthly fee (or a monthly fee + purchase costs) so I can’t really help you for anything past that.

Really I want a site where it’s “here is a pack of however many pictures, it costs such and such” but can’t find anything without a ridiculous monthly fee.
You might consider hiring an artist to make some original art for you. I happen to know two of them who might be interested and I can vouch for them. If you are interested, let me know and I will link their pages. They also take requests. As for cost, I am sure you can negotiate with them. Might be cheaper than a monthly subscription and very cool to have original art. You might be able to get a good price if you allow them to put their signature on the pictures. And/or put them in the credits. Both are planning to start college soon in art programs. they make a lot of art for me, digital paintings, ions, textures, etc.

Anything cartoon-ish really, landscapes, animals etc. As long as it’s nothing offensive as it will be mainly targeted for kids.

As per the conversation i see you’re looking for illustrations for your puzzles. I would recommend you to hire an children book illustrator who can design perfect illustrations for your puzzles. As, these illustrators only work on illustrations that are related with children’s.
