I'm making a digital CCG in Unity

Happy New Year to everybody!

Where to start!? This community is vast and pretty overwhelming at first sight. I’m not sure where this post belongs, so I’ll just post it right here and let karma take it from here:)

I have been developing/balancing/designing my own CCG for over 1,5 years now. I wanted to make a deep and tactical CCG that gives players an experience they can’t get from any other CCG today. A CCG, that is perfectly balanced and has factions that play completely differently. A CCG, where it actually matters tactically on the battlefield, if your creature has a melee or ranged attack, wings or none.
The first two races- Heavenly Kingdom and Undead Legion have been balanced and playtested to the point where I feel they are ready for a public beta. So I thought I’ll learn Unity and make a digital prototype. If anyone has any good tips, I’m open to suggestions.

Here are some slides of the game factions I have made:

Sounds interesting, the link seems broken though, could we get a new one?

Sorry. It should work now

What’s a CCG?

Looks cool. One thing worth noting is that although the text looks pretty its very unsuitable for use on the cards. You need a simple clean, bold, and easily readable font, compare to:

or

For context I’m an avid CCG/TCG player (both tabletop and digital) and if I hadn’t got to the link through Unity pages I wouldn’t even consider going past the first page based on the font alone.

Overall the game looks pretty good (great art, its lovely!), as @JohnnyA stated the font definitely needs a change, I can read about 1/2 the text only after a struggle. I’d definitely be interested in how you port it to Unity, I made a small TCG demo a while ago and it was definitely an interesting experience.

Collectible Card Game.
