Im sorry guys

Well i am shutting down Legandary Studios for now. parents are fighting… truth is coming out… idk if ill be on anymore… or as much…

Imagine if all game studios had to shut down because the boss’ parents were fighting…

You will have to be more specific than what you wrote.

They might get a divorce. and they are making it really hard on me.

Ah. That sucks. :frowning:

yea :frowning: i made a mistake and called my mom some BAD names and i feeel bad but yet again i dont…

I am very sorry to hear that :frowning:

ohhhh ouch.

Well maybe if you kept making games it would be some sort of therapy?
I dunno I’m no therapist.

I suggest not using a FPS as your choice of genre though

Yes, maybe some sort of calming puzzle game.

Dont shutdown! Postpone!

They’ll get over it then you’ll be losing out cause you ditched your game! Think of yourself man!

I don’t understand why his parents making his life hard means he has to stop making games and stop visiting these forums unless his making games and visiting these forums had a direct impact on why they were fighting and he ended up calling her names…

“You #%^ b@%@ of a @##4's [bodypart] smelling like a @@# and looking like a @#!#!!! What do you know about anything other than @%@%, you @#%# @$#%”
[/quote]…Sounds like something that would have happened in my household…

If he does continue to make games as a means of therapy then he would still have to close down Legendary Studios (which is a cool name, btw) and create… Rebel Studios :stuck_out_tongue:

Edit: p.s. With the current progress of the kit I am building, at the moment I am at a point where my wife can make the kind of games she wants. I was just jokingly saying to her last night that I can now give her the kit and she can start making her own games now, also. Asking what she is going to name her productions, the best she could come up with was “Baka productions” (Baka being Japanese… go figure it out). Anyways, I was laughing my arse off but perhaps I can convince her to keep your spirit alive with Legendary Studios…

…might actually be a good thing because if the kind of game she likes manages to actually sell, that would be a legendary victory! Can you imagine a third person game with 0 action?!? Perhaps you two could work together on your therapy

Okay, I am rambling, now…

Nothing to be sorry about. You will continue to do what you like to do - make games if that’s what your passion is. Maybe not today because there are issues in the family, but tomorrow is another day and there is next week and next month too. You will eventually be doing what you want to do.

And whatever is going on with your parents - it’s not your fault. Always remember that.

Follow your heart and you will be all right.

Mitch

Always remember that your parents will always, and always have had, a very different relationship to each other than they will have towards their children. That’s just the ways things are. Parents fighting has really nothing at all to do with you, most of the time. Sadly, things have a way of getting messy and conflicts start involving everything and anything - just ignore it. Try to not get too pissed about things, carry on - and as others say - you will see yourself doing all the things you usually do in no time. Like making games. Cheers.

unless game development is directly connected with your parents fighting, and thus game development its causing you a lot of stress which i doubt.

i would also say DONT QUIT,

having a hobby or some recreational activity to calm yourself and get away from the stress of your current personal life its essential to your future health, STRESS KILLS!

Hey EVO-gaming, if you ever need anyone to talk to you can PM me. I know it’s tough when parents are divorcing or there is drama going on. Keep your head up though, though darkness lasts for the night, joy comes in the morning. (or things don’t stay bad forever). It’s good to keep up hobbies, keep up a creative outlet (making 3d worlds/environments/games/ideas). Working in collaboration with someone else on a project even if it is not as apart of a “studio” is also good. All the best mate.

Alright

Making games might be a good way to put your mind on something else, might be a little hard to focus at first, but the more you think about something, the more you get involved.

Making games was what got me out of a spell of depression. A dogzerx said above, it keeps your mind off things. You can ignore them and do something you love doing. Carry on dude, keep strong.

KITT your so sweet, and you guys are right, i want to make a game so im going to make a game even tho my mapper left me and modeler ahha now ima retsart i guess

Goodluck and God Bless! I hope you finish your game, and I hope things turn out good for you!
