I'm trying to make information from a gameobject.length convert into a float that I can use.

(I’m not quite sure where to post questions at so yeah, I’ve been up for fourty-eight hours with little sleep working on conceptual stuff for this project and I figured I’d post this so I don’t forget later. Thanks!)

The goal is to use the gained number in an if statement. The getCount gameobject holds and amount of two in collapse box on runtime 98765-help.png

Here is my code

public GameObject spawnPoint;
public GameObject[] getCount;

public float maxAmount; //set to four
public float amount;

// Update is called once per frame
void Update () {
	getCount = GameObject.FindGameObjectsWithTag("Blue");

	//Debug.Log (getCount.Length);

The goal is to use the number from the getCount and use that in an if statement that compares amount and maxAmount.

if(amount < maxAmount){

also the photo but on runtime
