I was wondering if anyone was using this and had anything good to say about it? So it tiles textures, anything else?

Thanks for the heads up, I’ve been wanting to buy this for a long time. Have you watched the demo videos on the Luxology site? I think the big attraction is -how- it tiles your textures. From what I’ve seen it seems to do a pretty amazing job at it.

Looks cool… has anyone downloaded it? It says it’s for PC and Mac, but at the same time, it says

It is quite handy but I’m so used to photoshop I honestly can do it quicker with the clone tool, especially now you can rotate what you’re cloning, that makes it even more random. I’m not sure image synth can do that but I could be wrong.

Imagesynth is great :smile: . I use it all the time. It tiles MOST textures perfectly. I actually recommended imagesynth on another thread awhile back http://forum.unity3d.com/viewtopic.php?t=8225&highlight=imagesynth

Thanks Sav! Issue 102 finally arrived at my local bookstore (after looking for it occasionally all month). $15 is a great deal for ImageSynth… plus the magazine isn’t half bad either :wink:

Yeah thanks Boxy, you’re a legend. I hounded our magazine store till it turned up too. I’ve done one commercial job with imagesynth so far and although I dont fully understand it I like it.

Keep an eye out for a “little something” in the next issue too :stuck_out_tongue:

Yep, it was Border’s… really hard to pick out too… yellow and black plastic cover. If you can’t find it ask the employees. The mags in that store get shuffled so much that it’s really hard to find what you’re looking for.

Cool, do you have something being showcased in their user exhibition section?

BTW it really is a great magazine. The price is pretty insane for people outside of the UK, but the DVD they include full of content is worth it. In fact this was the magazine that got me started in 3D. They offered up some free version of Bryce and it got me rolling :wink:
