Import animations / 3d models from 3ds max to unity seamlessly ?

Hey guys

Is there any solution to somehow not export/import models to unity after every small change ?
and is it possible to update animations ( add / edit ) in 3ds max and update them in unity without the need of re importing and configuring the model ?!\


Found a way , importing .max files directly into Unity and editing the imported .max file if needed

But I read that this can cause some problems later in development . Can anyone elaborate ?
