Import & Compression Multi-Threading

When are we going to get a multi-threaded speed optimized tool to import and compress imported assets for Unity? I love all the improvements, I’ve even upgraded to Unity Plus, but these import times are just ridiculous.

I cant tell you then when but i know that unity is working on a new importing pipeline that should enable to importing multible asset at once. This will improve platform switching or importing groups of assets but not the single asset you where talking about.
If you have abnormal slow imports on specific assets a bug report with a proper description and the asset in a example project might help to fix specific problem.
