Hey!
I’m importing a model i made in maya, already texturized, to unity… but when i do, it comes out with lots of black spots… i dont know why… it’s like, you can see the texture but with a lot of black stains… i even exported it to .fbx in maya, but the problem persists…
please help me!! 
Could you maybe share a screenshot from unity of the mesh in the scene and of the inspector? Maybe also of your material hypergraph from maya?
Hey! i already solved it, i had to delete non deformer history… thanx!!
I’m having the same problem, but i’ve tried deleting my non deformer history with no luck.
I think it has to do with me using “soften edges” in maya.
If i change the mesh importer settings in unity to “calculate normals” instead of import they black spots go away, but then all of my softened/hardened normals that i set in maya are trashed.
How to you properly bring a smoothed low res mesh from maya into unity without black spots?
