Import fbx as generic rig

Hi! I can´t get the most simple animation from Maya (Fbx 2020) to import in Unity as a “generic rig”. Tested with a two bone baked animation on a sphere. Rig settings:
Animation Type: Generic
Avatar Definition: Create from this model
Root node: joint1 (have tried none also)
Skin Weights: Standard 4 bones (have tried 2 also)
Strip bones is Checked (not sure what it does?)
I can see that the animation clip “Take 001” has keyframes and is hooked up to the Animation controller of the object but it won´t play in the scene. And I can´t see the animation in the Preview Window in the Inspector:

Any help would be most appreciated.

Ok, - solved by using the Game Export in Maya!
