Import model problem from 3DS Max to Unity

Hi,

When I m trying to import a 3ds Max model in Unity, the Unity adding other materials and textures(from the project), or it doesnt add any materials to my model. Then I need to re add manually the correct materials to my model. Is there any solution to this? Is it possible to import a textured .fbx from 3ds Max to Unity?
