How important would you consider Leaderboards to be for a competitive mobile game? Im thinking of adding one to my game, but Im already way over my deadline with loads to do, and the whole login and leaderboard thing would be best left out, if its not that important.
Whenever i’ve been at a trade show or something akin an on the day leaderboard has been great, it keeps people coming back to see if anyone’s beaten there score. I take that mentality into all my mobile games, it’s a hook to keep people coming back.
If you think you game would suit a leaderboard mechanism then i strongly suggest it.
