Important - Where is Unity (FREE VERSION)

Hello,

I’m not sure if I have missed an announcement here, but is Unity (non-Pro version) still being made available for free? (and if so, where has the download link gone?)

When I try to download (by going STORE → ‘Unity’ Free → Proceed), I am directed to a page to download Unity 3 only?

Very frustrating, I am a lecturer and have chosen to use Unity as a basis for teaching Game-Audio techniques this year, and now I have a classroom full of students who are unable to complete their work on their Laptops.

Anyone shed any light on this? Has Unity decided to reverse their decision to make Unity free?

The Unity 3 which you are referring to is FREE. You just need to download and install it. Both the Pro and the Free version are the same files. In Pro, you will activate it with a valid key while for Free you just need your email address for activating it.
