The viewmodel hands I had rigged and imported them had the right hand looking inverted of sorts. By choosing “none” in the Rig tab for importing it, the right hand looks normal, but only if I choose any other option that the right hand starts looking inverted again.
your normals are inverted for one of the hands (possibly due to using a mirror function). normals are the direction the face of the polygon should display. youll need to flip the normals on the arm that was mirrored in your modeling software.
