I was wondering if it was possible to import a .png or a .svg sprite that’s saved to my documents into unity?

Drag and drop the file from your documents folder into unity’s asset folder (you can do this by accessing the folder through your operating system or just by having your unity project open and dragging the file into the folder inspector)
