Hey, i am working with .blend files with unity 2.6 and it is working well, but in the new release Unity 3.0 it doesnt work.
It says you need to use blender 2.45 or higher, but i have the fixed blender 2.49b and again, its working well with the old unity…
Eh??
i haven’t run into this issue and i have blender 2.49b and unity 3.0… i had a similar issue when i had 2 versions of blender installed 2.49b and beta 2.5x. The .blend file association in the Windows OS was pointing at the blender 2.5x version not 2.49b. I removed 2.45 and reinstalled 2.49b so the right one was associated with .blend files. To check this go into your explorer and just double click a .blend file… does 2.49b get used to open it ???
I just tried it again and the blender monkey mesh shows up just fine with no errors on the console. The project i put it into was even converted from 2.6 to 3.0 unity.
The only other thing is maybe a file descriptor … try making a brand new blender file with 2.49b. something silly like a cube in it and try dragging that to unity 3.0.
Or maybe the fbx exporter script is missing
Yeah, tried that also.
Can you give me please a link to your working fbx scripts? Maybe mine is old…
-edit: opened the wrong project lol -
I have the same problem with new unity 3 projects and blend files.
