Importing camera path from 3ds max into Unity

Hi there,

I created a camera and simple camera path in 3ds Max and am trying to import the camera into Unity, so that it will continue following the path. I have been unsuccessful with this, and do not have much experience with Unity or 3ds Max, as I’ve worked more with Maya previously. Does anyone have any answers? Thanks.

How are you animating the camera along the path? Is it a constraint or did you actually keyframe the camera’s movement? If it’s a path constraint, I don’t think that information goes through FBX. Personally, I’d hand animate a dummy object(cube) or bake the path out to keys. Then I’d import the animated dummy into Unity and attach a camera to it there, which will inherit all of the movements of the dummy. I haven’t actually done this, so input from others who have would be great.
