Importing .fbx

Hi,
I am experiencing a problem with the fbx file size. I made a fbx model whose triangles are 2400 only but file size is
20 MB. I am comparing the model with the Unity default model “PENELOPE” whose triangles are 1500 approx. but the size of the file is 664KB.

Can somebody give any suggestions?

Could it be the textures you applied to your model? Also, the program you are using to make the .fbx could be inefficient at the conversion.

I am using 3D MAX for modelling the fbx model. Is this tools efficent?

That should be fine. Did you check the texture file sizes you are using?
