Importing maya's deforming animations

heya all.

i am trying to get a maya animation into unity and scaling and moving are working fine, but i am using a deforming ( bend handle ) and i cant seem to get it in there. i am baking the curves in bake Chanel in the graph editor.

has anyone else gotten this to work?

mesh deformation animation is not supported in u nity unless the deformation is driven by bone skinning.
