Importing Packages not working (w/o error)

Hello all,

Since the new update 2020.2.0f1 when I try to import any asset package from Package Manager or directly from my hdd, it starts the import, the bar fills, but nothing happens afterwards. No asset no package anywhere and I am not getting an error, and nothing on the logs. It was fine till the last update, but now I Installed back the 2019.4.16f still not working.

  • I checked the firewall settings no problem, no change
  • No antivirus app
  • Uninstalled/Re-Installed both hub and other versions of Unity

Any suggestions?

Similar situation on 2019.4.16f1. Start the import asset from Package Manager (My Assets), the bar fills, but nothing happens, no error. But in my case it was a stupid situation - the import window was opening on a second monitor… which was turned off and I not see it :frowning:

Actually I found the solution and my case is also so stupid :smile: Like yours, import window was opening elsewhere which I can’t see. Resetting all Layouts solved the problem.

Why does Unity make EVERYTHING that should be simple (loading, saving, copying) such a nightmare? Endless forums to do the simplest things.
