Importing single character animations using the "ModelName@AnimName" workflow. Broken

Hello folks

I’m fairly new to Unity but not other game engines such as Unreal and Cryengine. I’m hoping some people here can help me with an annoying issue.

I am testing out a playable character for a prototype were you can click to move and click to attack. Similar to Diablo mechanics.

I have some looped animation files that I made a few years ago such as Walk Forward, Idle, Attack etc. As they are separate files I will need to use the ModelName@AnimName workflow for each animation. So here are my steps:

-Export my mesh into Unity. It goes into Unity just fine with no animations and the skinned rig attached.

-Export each individual animation into the same directory in my project. Animations go in fine, play perfectly with the model etc

But When I click the original model, the T Pose Mesh. It says there are no animations. I have tried countless things for hours and I am completely out of ideas. I’m usually good at the problem solvers but this is killing me heh.

Anyone got any advice on getting this to work? I have attached pictures to show you my project.

Many Thanks Guys!

Click on the little gray triangle next to the t-pose model and physically see if there is a clip on the figure. If not, then it is missing from the import.

No clips. But there are clips in @walk and @idle so surely the Unity Manual states they would plug into the original T Pose file… You can see the clips are there and that they were playing.

I think it needs to have an animation component upon import to automatically add clips from the other ones but you can simply drag the clip from the other models or duplicate them so you have a copy not attached to a model and put those on the T-Pose model.
