Hi,
I’m totally new to making games, and have been modeling everything in the free version of SketchUp - 7.0.10247 to be exact. I tried using a .obj exporter, but of course they came out gray (and mirrored, but that’s not a big issue). Is there any free way to get my models into Unity with all their textures on them? I’ve tried importing .dae files, but when I put them in Unity, they don’t show up (only the x/y/z mover thingy shows up - I don’t know what it is called ). Same thing when I put them in Blender, then Unity. What’s going on? I really don’t want to spend the money on LightUp if I can (I’m 13 and am also saving up for a DSi). Got any ideas? Oh, here is one of my SketchUp models (although it is a bit outdated - I have improved it since I took the screen). A LEGO Minifigure! http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/jamesster/Lego-Time-Cruisers/ltc_timmy_model.bmp
This thread seems to address the same issue:
Good job on the model.
