Importing SolidWorks variants in Pixyz

I am trying to import a SolidWorks assembly file containing variants, but I am not having much success with it. Is this feature supported by Pixyz at all?

Attached are some screenshot: one from SolidWorks showing the source file and its variants; one from HOOPS Viewer showing how it parses the file correctly; and one from Pixyz Studio that doesn’t show any variants. I tried to attach the SolidWorks files, but I wasn’t allowed to upload files. I can send it on request.

I also tried to execute the function pxz.io.listVariants("path_to_file.sldasm") but it told me “File extension not recognized : sldasm”.

Hey Simon, have you enabled the “LoadVariant” IO preference?
Edit > Preferences > IO > Import > LoadVariant

Yep, import variants was enabled.

Hi Simon,
We do not support “Configurations” as Variants in the SDK at the moment. We are investigating internaly with the IO team to know if we can support them and what would be the effort.
We will keep you in touch.

Thank you for reporting those differences and helping us making Pixyz a better product.
