Improved underlines

Would better underlines be possible?
I was thinking there could be two extra options.

  • Currently it just stretches the middle out like the underline in the picture below.
    An option to change tile it instead, eg. sprite tiling like the sprite in the bottom of the picture.
    It could just default to say 5% padding on either side, or provide options to change the padding.
  • Maybe an option to use a specific character, aside from the underscore.

I do plan on re-visiting the handling / styling of the Underline and Strikethrough. I don’t have an ETA on this yet but I will certainly consider this.
