Hi, I’m 100% completely new to all of this - I’m studying a MSc in sound design, which has led me to learning Unity and FMOD, but I basically have no idea what I’m doing.
What I’m wondering is, is it possible to sort of implant an impulse response into an object - say a metal wall - that will output a reverberation of a noise that happens very close to it, or if something bangs off it? Ideally, I’m wanting to build an underwater station at the bottom of the ocean that creaks under the pressure of 3kms of water, and also clangs when things run into it. I also want it to pick up things like voices, but very quietly, so that one can essentially listen to any conversation happening within the ship if one is close enough to a wall…if that makes sense…
thanks in advance to anyone who can help!
