Incorrect importing of weightmaps

i’m trying here to import a mob from Softimage with the animation attached to it into Unity. It’s just a single mesh with an animation baked into simple shadow rig, nothing fancy. No constraints, no tangentmaps, single envelope operator, single weightmap, everything baked, plotted and frozen. Crosswalk 2014 (fbxsdk 7.4).

And, it behaves… random! I tried to minimize distortion painting single “bugged” vertices, but as i said, it’s just random and unpredictable.

After further observation the answer was pretty simple and obvious =/
Setting Quality to “4 Bones” under Skinned Mesh Renderer component fixed all.
