Increase density of Plane mesh?

I’m trying to make fog of war for an RTS game, and this post has got my started:

However, the quality of this fog of war is directly proportional to the density of triangles in the mesh. Is there a way to increase this density, or do I have to create a separate mess in an external program like Blender?

No, the Plane primitive can’t be changed. You can create a mesh in another program, or create the mesh yourself by code.
