The mockups look nice! Can you tell us a little more about the game-mechanics? What is the goal, what can the player do?
Do you have got a short video, to get a glimpse? ^^
@okm1123 Thank you, we’ll try to make it much better each week
@umauj The game’s goal is to save the puppy from danger and lead it to a safer location.
Though we have a demo working right now that we showed to the publishers, I still am unable to have a video capture software in my machine.
We will try to post a video in the next few weeks.
Since we’ll add more characters in the game, there will be a little revision in the story,
I’ll be sharing the original planned storyboard of this game:
Here is the original story introduction sequence:
Maybe we’ll revise the story in the way the alien wants more pets for himself… What do you think?
Hi! Hope everyone is safe and having fun this Halloween! My prayers to those who are affected in the last calamity in the east coast of the US.
A little update with our project!
Been working this past few days on the animation of the other characters and the new level art.
Also some UI like the level select screen and splash screens.
I also redesigned the hamster, it looked quite lame at the first concept art.
Being a sole artist of this project (since we dont have extra hand right now, we’re still open for publishers or investors who would like to fund us though) It’s been taking quite a while to finish all the animations alone. But I must do my best.
On the programming side, we made sure the game is adaptable to all screen resolutions we need to target, so all platforms are covered already.
Here are some of the screens and updates!
Again, thanks for viewing guys! Hope you continue to follow our little game here!
Finally, I have captured and cut a short clip of the gameplay of our first prototype…
warning: the music is a bit loud… sorry about that
This is taken from the first prototype… I don’t have the current build and we fixed some errors there so yeah, at least you got the idea of how the gameplay works
Looks pretty interesting. If I weren’t sinking all of my money into my own project, I would contribute. One thing one the gameplay side though, I think it would offer more depth in gameplay if the obstacles did not kill the enemies. That way, you could have some levels where you block enemies, move your offspring, and then unblock the enemy in order to use the stone again. I just feel it would be interesting to have to deal with the same enemies in new ways. You could even give the player the option of killing the enemies or not and offer some kid of reward for finishing a level without killing the enemies.
