In fact the rules are changed since July. You are allowed to post crowd funding links.
The project looks interesting, though IndieGoGo is not the way to go.

Primus88 ,thank you and please share the links if you can. . Please do tell your opinion because it is of most value to us game developers such as why indiegogo is not the way to go.Thanks.

KheltonHeadley, thank you for your advice but I tried looking for a rule that prohibits fundraising and I could not find it.Would you kindly send me a link to the page that states fundraising is not allowed for this forum.Again thank you.

Thanks Gobla, so I guess I should remove my post then.

No. Just update it with info about the game.

We are currently doing some maintenance for our game.

That didn’t last long. You should update the first post to let people know the campaign is over cause I went to support it and couldn’t.

There are many points why IndieGoGo is not good for fund rasing, but to mention the most important:

  1. There are very few video game project bakers on IndieGoGo compared to kickstarter and most of them are there to support a certain project.
  2. The idiotic preconceived idea that if a project requires flexible funding = bad. Not all the projects require tens of thousand of dollars and not all of them need 100% of the asked cash to be delivered on the spot. Because, for small projects it is easy to drop some project enhancements / features without impacting the release quality of the product.

On IndieGoGo you are lucky if you get 15 dollars in 60 days of campaining…

PS: If you read what Gobla posted, no you don’t have to remove the link. You are free to post.
