Initialising a List<> in editor

I have a List<> in my prefab which is filled with data in the editor but when i run the game the list appears to be empty!

am i missing something???

I was reallocating memory in the Start() function hence the list appeared blank!! yeah i know stupid me :)

Maybe you need to tag the actual class of the list items with the

[Serializable]

attribute.

In older versions of Unity problem was that, in the editor, only arrays were supported (not more general collections, like lists, dictionaries and the like). So you might had to convert

List<YourItemType>

into

YourItemType[]
