Input controllers are not detected only in Play Mode

Hello, I have 2 issues and maybe they are related

  • My first problem is that Play Mode doesn’t detect the input of my right and left controllers (the input debugger detects the velocity and the controllers position, but it doesn’t detect them when I press a button). However when I build the app it works fine…

  • Also, I get a black screen but in my Oculus Quest while in Play mode. However it works fine on the screen in my PC or when I build the app too.

I am using Oculus Link cable 3.0 - USB

I have been stuck for a long time. Anyone could help me?

Thank you!

Are you using OpenXR? Do you have input locked to the game view? You can go to Window -> XR -> OpenXR -> Project Validation and see if there are any warnings in there.

Hi the_real_apoxol, thank you for the answer
No, I am not using OpenXR, but Oculus. So I can’t go to ‘Window > XR > OpenXR’ OpenXR is not appearing.
And how can I know if I have input locked to the game view? Because it seems to be that one of the errors
I am sorry if I make silly questions… (I am new in VR)

I am not sure if the locked input to game view is an issue for the Oculus provider or not. My primary focus is OpenXR so I was speaking from experience there. Your best bet is to submit your project as a bug to get more detailed help. Help -> Report a bug

Okay thank you. I just did it

Were you given an issue number when you reported the issue and if so can you post it here?

I think I posted it 13th August 20:03

Does this link reply to your question? Or I misunderstand the question?
It is the first time I report a bug so I don’t know if I did it well hahaha

Yes, the issue number is 1357985, thank you for the link.

Okay, perfect. Thanks to you.
When someone replies to me, can I also see the answer on this link or do I have to see in Unity? And where?

If someone from Unity responds to the issue it is via the email address you gave when you submitted the bug.
