I’m having an issue for some time now, thought that somebody would notice it and it would get fixed, but I’m on 1.1.1 and it’s still present so I finally decided to report it.
As I understand it only happens after I come back from Windows Hibernate (I’m using laptop).
The issue is that every time after entering Play Mode after a couple of seconds the Input System gets stuck in some state, e.g., some button was pressed or nothing was pressed, then it doesn’t respond to any Input for a couple of seconds and everything comes back to normal.
So I’m opening Unity - everything’s OK, then I Hibernate Windows, come back from this mode, enter Play Mode, and the issue happens every time. Currently I’m restarting Unity to fix it.
I guess maybe not a lot of developers have laptops and use Hibernate Mode on them. =)
Hi,
We’re aware of the issue and it’s tracked in Unity Issue Tracker - [Input System] InputInteractionContext.timerHasExpired property breaks in Editor after waking up the PC from Sleep Mode and Unity Issue Tracker - [Input System] Input lags when keeping the Editor open for a long time on Windows 7
The fix has landed in the latest alpha and now being backported to all released versions, it will be out in 2022.1.0a10 and in a few weeks we will know which exact LTS versions numbers will contain it.
