Insane 2.5 Platformer- Project Stormos

Hey guys, I’m just now launching the Kickstarter for Project Stormos.

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/robostormo/project-stormos

Here’s a quick preview of what the game is like, gameplay wise. Combine Super Meat Boy with Little Big Planet, Symphony of the Night and Devil May Cry and you’ll get the idea!

It has it’s own level editor in it as well, so you guys can make and play your own levels.

I’m going to add more to this post, but I wanted to start it out. Like the 5 minute long video on the Kickstarter with tons more details.

If anyone contributes, please send me a PM and I’ll make you an account so that you can start playing before the Kickstarter is funded  Thanks guys, you people have always helped me out and I really appreciate it. Unity has been amazing for making this game, and so has the community. I hope you think my game rocks.

Hey I was just interviewed on IndieGameMag.com

Also got some press at DIYgamer.com

Okay, I totally have played a game identical to this before… It was Japanese only, and there were all these spheres in the playing area and your character had this weapon that reminds me of the blade Serge used in Chrono Cross…

It’s called Chain Dive:

Your game looks fun, though. I would suggest you make a Facebook page for followers of your progress.

Haha, that game looks really cool too! I’ve never played it or seen it before though. I would say a critical difference between our being that Project Stormos has no Lock-On feature, you aim each dash.

Yeah the facebook page and blog are right here. Should I link anywhere else to make it easier?

I have some stuff I intend on selling on eBay/Craigslist soon and hope to be able to back your project shortly. You really seem to have your project headed in the right direction and I want to assist you with some funding (not tremendous amount but it should help). Not many indies take on a fast-paced action game like you have put together (and well, I might add) but I’m impressed by what I’ve seen; I consider myself a rather jaded and stingy gamer, as well.

Can’t wait to see it first hand. Keep up the great work!

Seraphim, I really appreciate that kind of feedback! If you’re stingy I know you’ll have fun with it, cause it can get pretty challenging. Send me a PM and I’ll make you an account so you can play it in the next couple days.

Consider me an official “backer” of the project now. Man it’s quiet in here.

Great work!
Any chance you’d sell the level editor and source as a kit?
B

Right now, on the Kickstarter, the whole game AND the level editor is only $5. It’s inside of the game itself, and it’s very easy to use.

Anybody that chips in on this here, send me a PM and I’ll try to make you an account and get you an early copy of the game. I want this to be a very community game so we’ll have to start thinking about the source as well. Let’s get this thing off the ground!

Here’s the full Kickstarter video with more content than the videos above

Outstanding presentation for Kickstart, and the game looks absolutely fantastic. Come my next pay cheque you can count on me offering support!

Thanks Alex! I’m pretty sure it doesn’t charge your card until the funding has reached its goal. Let me know when you do, cause I want to give people on the Unity Forums early access even before the goal. Everybody’s feedback so far has been really great.

Omg badass, I’m going to have to say this is one of the coolest games I’ve seen since The pirates game

Thanks man! Let me know if there is anything you want to know about the game.

And an update Project Stormos has just been accepted on IndieDB.com

here is the page http://www.indiedb.com/games/project-stormos

Please help spread the word!

Hey dude no problem, as a matter of fact last night at the Houston Unity meetup after I showed off what I had so far with my game Between Light And Darkness, I showed the above video of your game. More than half of the people said they have seen it and that it looked awaome and everyone else who has not seen it said it was awaome as well. I wanted to show the group your game specifically because I thaught it was that awaome. Simple but yet super awaome concept, gameplay as well as design.

I will PM you soon about my donation.

Keep up the good work dude.

Hey BlueRadius, thanks for the Kickstarter contribution. Send me a PM or skype me at rstorm000 and I’ll get you a copy of the game.

Also, it looks like the game has been kicking butts at IndieDB.com. It’s already at rank 18 out of 4334. =) Check it out.

Your doing better than Amnesia? Nice work!

Hey! Good work!
Go on!!

Good looking stuff. I’ve played Crash Dive (me and probably <100 other people on the planet). You game looks more fun than Crash Dive was. It kind of reminded me of Bangai-O for some reason.

Writing up the press release and making another level editor video tonight. Is there anything anybody wants to see and I’ll make a video or answer your questions. Play testers have been loving it so far, let me know if you want to play test.

Looks cool! are you planning on targeting ios at all?

The controls in the game are REALLY precise, so it’s not quite suitable for iOS or touch screens. Keyboard is what I prefer to play with, but others like to use a controller.
