Lately i’ve been developing a serious project, but just cant move on…its just been bland lately…

This may sound crazy, but when i am bland and dont want to do my game i think of The Lord Of The Rings, yeah…
talk about metal issues…lol
ok but seriously, think of money, if your goal is to make a game to make money, think of it.
drugs, sex and rock and roll is all I need =)
No serious, some times it’s hard:
I tend to always have some small side task left over that are fun todo.
Therefore if I get “coders block” I tend to work on these simple fun tasks, to get my motivation back up.
Well what motivated you to start/make your game in the first place?
You need to focus on those original ideals.
Also, don’t discount taking a break. A few days off, get away from the computer, get some fresh air for a few days, even better go travel a few days. You will come back re-charged and very excited to get back to working on your game - trust me.

Screwing around and playing video games has actually done more for my coding and theory than actually sitting down and trying to force myself to figure it out.
Also, the saying “sleep on it” has more value than one might imagine. Humans form a great deal of their wisdom and understanding while asleep.
