Install issues

iMac G5 1.8GHz, 512MB

On install it tells me “Unity cannot be installed on this computer - Unity requires Mac OS X version 10.3 or later to run” Yet the system properties read that I have “Mac OS X 10.3.5 (7P36)”

Is there anything I’m able to do to sort this out? It’s currently a borrowed machine so I’m hoping not to have to do anything too intrusive.

Cheers

By “10.3,” that might mean 10.3.9. (It’s a free download from Apple.) Other programs that still run in 10.3 frequently require 10.3.9.

rockin’

i’ll give it a bash as soon as i figure out how to network the thing

thanks for the reply

Looking at the Unity download page, I see 10.3.9 is indeed required. You can download the 10.3.9 combo update here…if it’s easier than networking, you could download that file and transfer it to the Mac by burning it to a disc or whatever.

I ran the update locally and it sorted it out an absolute treat, so thanks for pointing that out.

The first hour of unity is hella learning curve, eh
