Installation failed - mac os 10.6.8

Hello

Having an issue installing Unity 4.2 on my mac book pro - running version 10.6.8.

The problem is unity does not install, it just crashes after deciding on which drive I’d like to install it on and then boom - installation failed. I have seen other posts about this but no real solutions, checked md5 and its all good, so the installer isn’t corrupt but just in case I downloaded it again and still the same problem.

Any ideas why this could be happening? I’m not a veteran mac user, so any direction you can provide would be much appreciated.

I encounter exactly the same problem. I downloaded several times the file to be sure of its integrity with the same result.

My Mac OS X version is 10.7.4.

Any help will be appreciated.
