Installer Problem

I have downloaded Unity 3.5 from Start Your Creative Projects and Download the Unity Hub | Unity about 6 times now. I’ve done it from 2 different machines using Chrome, Firefox and wget. Every single time, it’s corrupt. It says:

“Installer integrity check has failed.” and suggests that the download might be incomplete or my media might be damaged.

I’m trying to install it on Win7 x64 on and Intel i7.

I searched the forums and others have had this issue, but it just went away and they were eventually able to download it and install. No real fix was ever given. In fact, it happened to me once before, with the same results. But this time, it seems to be staying around.

I’ve asked a friend to try downloading it (he’s on the other side of the world from me) and he says the download keeps getting interrupted before the end, so he can’t get a valid copy of it, either.

I have this problem as well. Tried downloading it several times.

This is what I’ve tried so far, without any luck

  • Re-download the installer
  • Renaming the file
  • Restarting my computer several times
  • Running as admin an all that
  • Turning of Firewall and Anti Virus while downloading and installing

Does still not work for me, and I need a new clean install since my last HDD exploded.

Any help here?

This is the error I get.

NSIS Error

Installer integrity check has failed. Common causes include
incomplete download and damaged media. Contact the
installer’s author to obtain a new copy.

So, I’ve tried everything from the nsis website, and still no luck. Is there really nobody else with this problem? Or atleast a solution or something?

I am having the same problem. I have downloaded the installer twice today, but no luck. Someone please advice!

Intel i5 / Win 7 64bits

please help!!!

??? PLZ!!!

Hmm, I had that problem a few minutes back.

Do as follows.

  1. Rename the downloaded file so that it is UnitySetup.exe
  2. Copy the file and paste it in to the main drive. That is Local Disk (C:) Drive. Meaning, the file should be found in that location.
  3. Open Command Prompt. And Drag and drop the setup file on to the black window.
  4. Hit space and type out ‘/NCRC’ without the quotes.
  5. The installer will now open, be patient.
  6. ???
  7. Profit. Enjoy!

Hope I helped. (:

Tried this, it allowed the installer to start, seemed to be working, but then near the beginning of the new installation, I get a message: failed extraction, corrupted installer?
right after uninstalling the previous version

it happens during extracting cflite.dll

but re-installing the previous version worked perfectly, so it’s just this version (3.5.4)

I really want to be a Unity developer. I have been coding since 1983 and I’ve never had so many simple issues to resolve.
How hard is it install an update. Unity pls answer this thread with a solution.

I had a similar problem. The setup stopped after a while at random points telling me it could not install xyz. I thought the setup exe was corrupt and downloaded it with different browsers with no change at all. Then I noticed that my C: partition was rather full and I freed up some space there and voilá it worked. Apparently the setup caches its installfiles on C: and therefore fail to install if there is not enough space

Its windows problem Redirecting

I get the same problem trying to download 4.3 on windows 7 using Chrome. downloads ok. Always gives this error with link to Why do I get NSIS Error - NSIS.

Have tried everything listed here, just wont install.

Have downladed 10 times over 24 hours. Always is same size when finished. Always gives same error.

I had the same error after downloading in Chrome, then trying to install on Windows 7 64-bit. Downloaded again using 32-bit IE, and it installed fine running as Administrator.

my installer had dailed in the mid but unity is running ,i can’t understand how it is!!

When I’m trying to install it and get to the Survey section, I cannot scroll down at all, I am trying to install it with an ASUS Laptop (Windows 8) but it just won’t work no matter what I do.
