Installing Unity Free... Preserving my Work

Now that Unity Free is out, I need to do a fresh install of that software (unless I can ‘register’ my trial version?).
I have been working, and want to save my work.

There are three folders in My Documents that I have been using:
Unity 3D
Unity Projects
New Unity Project

To preserve my work, can I simply rename these folders to:
Unity 3D Old
Unity Projects Old
New Unity Project Old

and they will not be overwritten?

Installing 2.6 over the top is fine and the projects get upgraded when opening them - so just back them up if you wish.

You should do a backup.

I didn’t.

2.6 started converting my project and crashed after 44 minutes :frowning:
