Installing Unity iOS on iPhone? From unity-remote.html

Hi,
(just starting out with Unity 3 / iPhone, so going thought the initial steps to set things up. I was following the Getting Started with iOS development from the Unity Manual… then got to the unity-remote page. I installed Unity Remote from iTunes… when I open the Remote on my iPhone4 I can see my MacPro listed but if I try to connect it quickly says ‘Failed to initiate connection’

Trying to troubleshoot the problem I found this in the “Unity Remote connection is still poor.” section of the manual:
Reinstall Unity iOS on your iPhone/iPad.

mmm… install Unity iOS on the iPhone? Of course I am missing some basic step here (sorry :))
How do I install Unity iOS on the iphone? Searched the forum and maybe this was too basic of a task to find anything about it

That’s a typo. It should be “Reinstall Unity Remote on your iPhone/iPad”. I just reported that as a documentation bug. Thanks for bringing it to attention.

Unfortunately, that’s not a fix to your problem.
What I’ve found, when this happens, is that removing Unity Remote from the multitask bar, then starting it and Unity at the same time, solves the problem. When this doesn’t work for me, it means there is too much interference / the network I’m using is too weak.

Also, “Time to make time for games and apps” is a typo too, no? :face_with_spiral_eyes:

ohhh right  thanks Jessy. That typo did throw me off, I was looking for a Unity iOS everywhere

I just noticed Unity Remote 3 on the app store. You might give that a try. Assuming you are running Unity 3.0
