Instance Render Order

For a particular object in my project, I require a particular object to be draw immediately before it, and another object to be drawn immediately after it.

I have multiple instances of this objects (let’s call it ‘o’), and therefore multiple befores (‘b’) and afters(‘a’). Therefore I need the render order to be something along the lines of b1, o1, a1, b2, o2, a2, b3, o3, a3… etc.

Currently I am doing this in OnRenderObject with DrawMeshNow, unfortunately this has the downside of always being rendered last, and these objects need to be able to appear behind sprites.

Is there any way I can do this? Either by calling DrawMeshNow elsewhere, or using other methods?

Can’t you just set the “Order in Layer” of each renderer?
