Instantiate referencing problem

I am making a tile based map where I instantiate the tiles at the start, the prefabs of the tiles reference a script, but when the objects are instantiated the script is no longer referenced in the copies.

Do these tile prefabs have the correct scripts in them? Also, I think if you instantiate something and it is disabled at Start, all those functions in start don’t get called.

If you do in fact have the scripts on the instantiated items, then the script that calls the instantiation could have an event attached so that it runs a the reference through a listener to all the prefabs you just instantiated.
